I Can Talk on the Phone Again!

I cannot tell you how excited I am about the Jawbone Bluetooth Headset. I am elated. Ecstatic. Extremely excited. Etcetera! And why? Well, dear readers, I can talk on the phone again! Not only can I talk but, ohmygoodness, I can hear the person that I am talking to! And they can hear me! I almost feel like an adult again!
It’s no surprise that children make talking on the phone somewhat difficult. They’re noisy. And they want to sing songs. And hold phones. And generally keep me from talking on the phone. But they aren’t the only reason I’ve been having trouble having conversations. For example, I could talk on the phone while in my vehicle, despite that it’s safer to keep both hands on the steering wheel. BUT thanks to gas prices and wanting to save money, I’ve been riding around with my windows wide open. The whooshing sound of wind has made phone conversations rather difficult unless I want to sweat as I roll up the windows. And so, my phone conversations have been kind of minimal as of late.
Until I was sent the Jawbone to review. And let me tell you, I’m in love.
First of all, I can’t usually wear earbuds because I have weird ears. I do. I’ve talked about this with friends before. They just don’t stick in there. BUT! The Jawbone comes with three different sizes of earbuds! Turns out that the small size actually fits in my ear. AND STAYS THERE! It also comes with four different sizes of around-the-ear pieces so you can find your comfort level. (As a tip: the thinner one works best with those of you who wear glasses all the time or on occasion. The two fit together on my ear without issue!)
Secondly, since it fits so well in my ear, I can hear and be heard. But just to make sure, the Jawbone has a noise assassin button. That’s right. There’s a big old scientific explanation here but suffice it to say that it filters out the noise. It detects the voice and filters out the other junk. Simply amazing. More amazing than that is the fact that it works. That’s right. It works.
On top of it all, it’s stylish. I’m not one to be particularly stylish. But I occasionally like to look like I know what I’m doing. And the Jawbone is sleek. I got the black because I think it’s a nice sleek look but it also comes in gold and silver. Swanky.
To boot, Jawbone is helping out those who have received a ticket for not using a hands-free device while driving. (Which we all should be but, as we know, it’s now illegal to use a phone that isn’t hands free while driving in some states.) If you’ve received a ticket, go to the site, fill out the information and you’ll receive a $20.00 discount off of the purchase of a Jawbone. No, they’re not paying your ticket (because you are responsible for yourself!) but they’ll help keep you legal in the future!
Best news? I’m giving away a free Blah Blah Black Jawbone on the main site. That’s right. Free! ($129.00 value!) Now YOU can talk to humans again! Adult humans and not just your children! And you can hear what those humans are saying! And those humans can hear you! It’s fabulous. Head on over to the main site and leave a comment on the post for your chance to win. And if you don’t win, I’d really just go ahead and buy one. It’s great to be able to talk to adult humans again. I feel almost human myself!
